In other news, I'm got into the YPO Ramwelcome show. That's going to be on August 20th and 21st. The two shows we're doing are called Shelter which was written by a good friend of mine and Riddance, by Linda McLean. Here are the synopses:
Shelter by Michelle Jones
Synopsis: A husband and wife discover the bomb shelter built outside their house. As the play develops, the wife's fascination with and dedication to the shelter drives the couple apart as the wife's paranoia increases beyond normal levels
Riddance by Linda McLean (alt. sp. Maclean)
Synopsis:"Very few people hear just what there is and nothing more. Very few.
If it's true we leave a trail, does it follow then, that we can always be found?
Kenny is a vacuum cleaner salesman with an obsession for security and cleanliness. Always running to escape his past, he has carved a comfortably isolated existence. Imagine his horror when old 'friend' Frank turns up on his doorstep. Clare however, is curiously relieved to see Frank and delivers him a devastating blow when she reveals her own secret.
Riddance probes the relationship between the three friends who are drawn reluctantly and inevitably together.
No one gets away unscathed."
Looking forward to it! It's also got Scottish accents. Zounds!
There seems to be some exciting stuff brewing around here at Aplomborama, True Believers! Keep your eyes open and check back for it. We might see some guest postings and some neat stuff coming at you from all sides. There's no escape from the reckoning. If you yourself are interested in contributing, let me know! We've got room to grow, and the options at this point are limited only by your own tiny, watery brains.
Til next time
-Roger
